Cultural traditions, Maldivian dining and live performances are on the programme
Maldivian resort Sun Siyam Iru Veli has unveiled its Eid Al Adha holiday celebrations, offering a line-up of curated experiences for guests.
On 30 May 2026, the all-inclusive resort will spotlight Maldivian Eid customs with a day of cultural heritage and island practices, offering guests a glimpse into how the holiday has traditionally been celebrated across the island nation.
One of the key ceremonies is Bodu Mas, a Maldivian folk tradition featuring a symbolic fish sculpture crafted from woven coconut palm leaves Held at Magoodhoo Beach, the event includes an evening tea gathering with storytelling.

Another highlight is Eid Farivalhu, where guests share a feast served on a Malaafaiy, a traditional wooden dish.
The programme will conclude with an international dinner buffet followed by a Maldivian Roots cultural performance with Boduberu drumming.
Beyond Eid, the resort is also running a summer promotion, including complimentary seaplane transfers and discounts on selected island experiences and wellness facilities.
Themed programming will continue into June, with Ocean Week from 1 to 8 June, followed by Wellness Week from 12 to 21 June. Guests arriving ahead of Eid Al Adha can also mark International Tea Day on 21 May, featuring Maldivian specialities alongside global tea blends.
