Sun Siyam Vilu Reef launches new marine experiences

Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, a five-star boutique resort in the Maldives, has introduced new private ocean excursions for guests, enhancing its marine activities portfolio. 

 

The expanded programme aims to highlight the region’s biodiversity and builds on existing watersports offerings, including windsurfing, SeaBob electric scooters and Jet Car rides, first rolled out in August 2025. 

 

Guests can now embark on daily private speedboat excursions, ranging from short four- or five-hour outings to full-day trips. Designed for groups of one to four individuals, the experience also includes a BBQ lunch. 

 

For a multi-site excursion, guests can choose the all-day adventure package, which includes visits to three distinct locations across the Vaavu Atoll: Coral Garden, Turtle Point and Nurse Shark Point. The experience offers close encounters with vibrant reefs and marine life, accompanied by a beachside lunch on a remote sandbank.

The third new experience is the Waves of Adventure and Calmness programme, offering a two-hour private snorkelling or Jet Ski safari followed by a full-body massage at the resort’s holistic spa featuring Ayurvedic techniques.

 

Sun Siyam Vilu Reef continues to expand its recreational activities, offering new ways to experience the Maldivian lifestyle. The resort recently introduced weekly cooking classes highlighting traditional cuisine with dishes such as Kandu Kukulhu, a rolled tuna curry. 

 

Additional resort facilities include recreational spaces such as badminton and tennis courts, as well as the Turtle Kids’ Club, a gym and an SSI-certified diving centre.
