Beirut services also remain cancelled until 24 October
Swiss International Air Lines (Swiss) has extended the suspension of flights between Zurich and Dubai until and including 13 September 2026.
The Lufthansa Group airline had previously suspended Dubai flights until 11 July 2026 following regional airspace disruption linked to the Iran war, which began on 28 February 2026 and led to temporary restrictions across parts of Gulf airspace. Affected passengers can rebook travel free of charge for a later date or request a full refund.
At the same time, Flights to Beirut will also remain suspended until 24 October 2026, while Tel Aviv services are currently planned to resume from 1 July 2026 subject to operational preparations.
Swiss said aircraft made available through Middle East route suspensions are continuing to be redirected towards routes seeing stronger demand, depending on aircraft availability and operational approvals.

The carrier is also continuing increased nonstop services between Zurich and Delhi until and including 13 September 2026, maintaining a second daily Airbus A330 service alongside its regular daily rotation. The additional India capacity comes as passengers increasingly shift towards nonstop Europe–Asia services following disruption to Gulf transit routes.
Earlier this year, the airline also expanded its European summer schedule with 74 additional rotations between May and September 2026 to destinations including Málaga, Athens, Palma de Mallorca, Venice and Thessaloniki.
Other international airlines have also adjusted schedules in recent months. KLM extended cancellations to Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam, while British Airways and Cathay Pacific made changes to Middle East services following regional airspace disruption.
