Istanbul hub reconnects with UAE from 9 June
Turkish Airlines will resume flights between Istanbul and Dubai from 9 June 2026, restoring one of the carrier’s key UAE routes after disruptions linked to the Iran war that began on 28 February.
In an online statement, Luftullah Goktas, Turkish Ambassador to the UAE, said: "The decision to resume serves as a tangible indicator of our confidence in the United Arab Emirates and the importance we attach to our strategic partnership."
The resumed service will reconnect Dubai with the carrier’s wider global network through Istanbul, one of the region’s largest long-haul transit hubs.
The restart follows months of disruption across Middle East air travel after the Iran war began on 28 February, forcing several international airlines to suspend or revise services due to airspace restrictions. Carriers including KLM, British Airways, Swiss and Cathay Pacific were among those to adjust Gulf and wider regional operations during the period.
