Turkish Airlines to resume Abu Dhabi flights

Turkish Airlines will resume four-weekly flights between Istanbul and Abu Dhabi from 1 July 2026, restoring its full UAE network following temporary disruptions linked to the Iran conflict. 

The reinstatement of the Abu Dhabi route follows the resumption of flights between Istanbul and Dubai on 8 June. Starting 25 June, the airline will also double its Dubai schedule from seven to 14 weekly flights.

The inbound service will depart Istanbul at 18:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 00:25 the following day. The outbound flight will leave Abu Dhabi at 01:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, landing in Istanbul at 05:25.

Turkish Airlines serves more than 350 destinations worldwide. In 2025, the airline reported an operating profit of US$1.1 billion in Q3, supported by continued expansion of its international network and long-haul operations.

The airline is also pursuing a minority investment in Spain’s Air Europa as it seeks to strengthen its European presence and expand its transatlantic network. At Istanbul Airport (IST), the airline is investing in expanded cargo, maintenance and passenger facilities to support future capacity growth.

Alongside network expansion, the carrier recently announced changes to its executive leadership team, appointing Murat Şeker as Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee and Ahmet Olmuştur as Chief Executive Officer.
