Service to offer 24-hour taxi and limousine bookings in UAE’s emerging tourist destination
Uber has expanded its UAE network to Ras Al Khaimah following a new agreement with Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) to introduce rideshare services in the emirate.
The 24-hour on-demand platform will allow users to book taxis and limousines via the Uber app and pay fares digitally, streamlining the experience for residents and visitors.
Tala Nsouli, General Manager of Uber UAE, said, "This collaboration reflects our shared ongoing efforts towards digital transformation and building a more efficient future for mobility across the emirate."

Ras Al Khaimah becomes the fourth UAE city to join Uber’s global network, following Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. In addition to Uber, Careem remains one of the other main ridesharing platforms operating in the emirate.
Uber continues to expand its presence across the UAE through both traditional services and new mobility initiatives. The company recently launched autonomous taxi services in Dubai and is currently operating at limited capacity in areas such as Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah. A similar self-driving vehicle rollout was introduced on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island in late 2025, with pilot programmes also underway in Ras Al Khaimah.
The company is also progressing plans for flying taxi services in Dubai in partnership with Joby Aviation and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), with future integration expected via the Uber app.
