Women make more than half of adventure travel bookings

Over-50 females represent biggest market segment

A global study of 1,000 women found that adventure travel was the most sought-after type of travel among women aged over 50.

Globally, its estimated that women make up more than half of all bookings with adventure travel companies, according to data from the Adventure Travel Trade Association.

The top choices for adventure travel holidays for women include a broad spectrum of physically challenging tours, include: 

Trekking Amalfi and Capri
