Dubai-based carrier again wins UK passenger votes for service, space and network
Emirates has reclaimed its title as Best Long Haul Airline at the Telegraph Travel Awards 2025, outpacing global rivals such as All Nippon Airways, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.
This marks another win for the Dubai-based airline, which secured the same accolade in 2023 and was named World’s Best Airline in 2024.
More than 20,000 UK-based Telegraph readers voted in the 2025 awards, recognising Emirates not just for its extensive UK network of 133 weekly flights across six major UK cities but also for outstanding performance across 30 metrics, from punctuality and baggage allowance to in-flight meals and value of its rewards programme.
UK flight searches on emirates.com have risen 12% year-on-year, driven by strong demand for long-haul destinations such as New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Sri Lanka and Mauritius.
This latest accolade follows on from Emirates’ impressive showing at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, where it was ranked the world’s fourth best airline and also earned top honours for being the world’s best family-friendly airline and having the world’s best first class and inflight entertainment.
Emirates has also been recognised this month by YouGov as 2025’s Most Recommended Global Brand, putting the airline ahead of stellar global brands such as Toyota, Levi’s, Adidas, Nintendo, Nike, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Trivago and Neutrogena.
Not one to rest on its laurels, the world’s most profitable airline has a number of network and fleet expansions and enhancements in the pipeline.
Four new destinations will launch on 30 July 2025, serving Shenzhen and Hangzhou in China, Da Nang in Vietnam and Siem Reap in Cambodia, with Emirates serving more than 70 destinations worldwide by the end of the year.

Dubai-based Emirates becomes world’s most profitable airline
Telegraph readers in the UK are well-served by the UAE’s Emirates, with six times daily A380 flights from Dubai to London Heathrow and in total, a daily service to seven UK airports.
For the financial year ending 31 March 2025, Emirates Group reported record profits of US$5.8 billion, a 20% increase year-on-year, on record revenues of US$34.9 billion, up 6%. Emirates carried 53.7 million passengers, up 3% in that time and became the world’s most profitable airline.
Further milestones this year include Emirates becoming the world’s first Autism Certified Airline, opening nine reimagined travel retail stores and introducing its newest aircraft, the A350, to multiple destinations.
The A350 will be deployed to 17 destinations by the end of 2025, and is already flying to Edinburgh in Scotland, Lyon in France and Bologna in Italy.
No less than 61 aircraft have also been refurbished in a US$5 billion cabin retrofit of A380s and B777s.
