Five new properties to open across Jeddah and the Holy Cities in 2026
Marriott International and Al Qimmah Hospitality have signed an agreement to develop five new hotels across Saudi Arabia, adding 2,700 hotel rooms to the kingdom’s expanding hospitality pipeline. The properties will span Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah, and will feature four of Marriott’s signature brands, including JW Marriott, Element Hotels, Four Points by Sheraton and the Saudi market debut of Four Points Flex by Sheraton.
The multi-deal agreement builds on Marriott’s longstanding presence in the kingdom, where the group recently surpassed 100 properties either operating or under development, following more than four decades of operations in the country.
JW Marriott Jeddah, The Apartments
Located along the Jeddah Corniche Road, JW Marriott, Jeddah, will feature 365 studios and one- to three-bedroom apartments, each with a separate living area and kitchen, designed to cater to extended-stay travel. Guests can expect multiple dining venues, a fitness centre, a swimming pool and meeting spaces. The property will sit adjacent to the upcoming JW Marriott Hotel Jeddah, announced in 2024.
Element Madinah Sultana Road
Targeting extended-stay guests, Element Madinah will comprise 136 rooms across a mix of studios and apartments, each featuring kitchen spaces and spa-inspired bathrooms. Amenities will include a fitness centre and a complimentary Grab & Go breakfast concept. This will be the second Element property in the kingdom after Element Al Qassim, which is set to open in January 2026.
Four Points by Sheraton Shesha, Makkah and Four Points by Sheraton Madinah King Fahd Road
Marriott will expand its Four Points by Sheraton footprint with two new openings in the Holy Cities, Makkah and Madinah. Makkah will feature 1,030 rooms and offer close proximity to Masjid Al Haram, the Grand Mosque, while Four Points Madinah will add 800 rooms near Masjid Al Nabawi, the Prophet’s Mosque. Both properties will have multiple dining options, including a Grab n’ Go concept, plus meeting facilities and a fitness centre.
