The expedition specialist has released 63 excursions
Hurtigruten has released more details of excursions for 2023. The excursions are split across two itineraries: the Svalbard Express in the summer and the North Cape Express in the winter.
Svalbard Express Summer Excursions
Starting from 3 June 2023, passengers can choose from excursions such as fishing from a 39-foot cutter boat (pictured) in the Lofoten archipelago, starting from €189, and hiking and birdwatching in Gjesværstappan Nature Reserve, which leads in from €269.
Guests will have around six hours to explore 14 areas along Norway’s coast and archipelago in the summer Svalbard Express programme.
On either northbound and southbound Svalbard Express sailing, passengers spend two nights in Longyearbyen and can experience two excursions included in the fare, an evening at Camp Barentz and a sailing on hybrid-electric catamaran MS Bard.

North Cape Express Winter Sailings
For the first time, Hurtigruten will offer the North Cape Express sailing from Oslo during the winter. The winter sailing programme starts on 26 September 2023.
Passengers will have around six hours in each of the 16 areas that feature in the winter programme.
Available excursions include a North Cape and King Crab Experience where passengers can experience crab from the Barents Sea in Sarnes village or dog sledding in Alta, priced from from €299.
