NCL launches four new "original" shows across nine cruise ships

Performances include nostalgic tribute shows

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has added four new original shows to itineraries across nine ships through September 2025.

Part of NCL's refreshed entertainment strategy, the shows were developed in collaboration with acclaimed creative partners and are designed to appeal to a multigenerational audience.

The introduction springs from guest feedback suggesting a preference for Norwegian's "shorter, original productions" and follows the launch of two new venues on Norwegian Bliss and Breakaway ships, including Silver Screen Bistro, which is described as “an immersive movie and dining venue” for passengers of all ages.

The four new productions will be rolled out in 2025 to passengers travelling on Norwegian Breakaway, Encore, Epic, Escape, Gem, Getaway, Jewel, Joy and Prima.

Red, White & British
A tribute to the best of British music, Red, White & British has been developed with world-class ballroom collective Burn The Floor, and promises a high-energy show, including a glam rock section dedicated to the likes of David Bowie and Queen. Expected to make its debut on Norwegian Breakaway’s 14 March cruise, the performance will then take to the stage on Norwegian Epic’s 14 May Greek Isles sailing, followed by Norwegian Prima’s Northern Europe voyage on 24 August.

Bring Back the 90s
As its name suggests, Bring Back the 90s will take guests on a trip through the decade’s iconic pop, from artists such as Alannis Morissette, Salt-N-Pepa and Destiny's Child. A blend of music, dance, vocals and multimedia design, the production will feature on Bermuda voyages from New York between May and August before making its debut aboard Norwegian Joy during her 7 July 2025 Alaska sailing from Seattle.

ICONS: The Bands
ICONS: The Bands will showcase hits from across the ages, helmed by director-choreographer Stacy Walker, who previously worked with Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga. The production will premiere aboard Norwegian Encore for its 30 March Panama Canal sailing, then run on Norwegian Escape’s 25 May Caribbean cruise from Miami.

Ignite the Night
Ignite the Night, a mix of dance and stage design choreographed by Dancing with the Stars professional dancer and celebrity Britt Stewart. Performances on board Norwegian Jewel include Bermuda sailings from Boston between April and August before joining Norwegian Gem's Canada and New England sailings from Quebec City on 5 September 2025.

Beyond the main stages, guests can also expect pop-up performances across the fleet including poolside flash mob acts.
