The the first in a series of expedition cruises departed from Mahé on 18 November
Ponant has become the first cruise company to resume operations to the Seychelles. Le Bellot began her cruise on 18 November 2021, departing from Mahé and is scheduled to return on 26 November.
During the 2021-2022 winter season, Le Bellot will be joined by Le Bougainville and Le Jacques-Cartier. The Seychelles will be in the spotlight with five itineraries and 19 cruises from November to April.
Sales for the 2022-2023 winter season are also open, with six itineraries and 18 cruises to choose from.
Fitted with innovative equipment, these limited-capacity yachts have only 88 staterooms, each with private balcony, and four suites, each with a plate glass window and private terrace.
Speaking about the launch, Ponant chief sales, marketing and communications officer Hervé Bellaïche said: “After long months of waiting, we are more than prepared to resume our operations in the Seychelles. We’ve been taking guests to discover this paradise on earth for almost 20 years. We are happy to be able to actively contribute to relaunching tourism in the Seychelles.”

Guest safety is a priority for Ponant, with a health protocols that exceed international regulations, based on the delimitation on board ships of an ‘Anti-Covid Zones’ – in effect sealed health bubbles based on the vaccination and screening.
Everyone must to be fully vaccinated or have natural immunity, and present a negative PCR test result from a test taken within 72 hours prior to boarding.
