The ceremony followed its maiden voyage from Barcelona
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s inaugural 'superyacht', Evrima, has been christened at the Lisbon Cruise Terminal in Portugal.
The naming followed Evrima's maiden voyage, which embarked from Barcelona on 15 October 2022, three and a half years after its was originally scheduled to sail.
The impressive 190-metre vessel features an infinity pool, a wine vault, a Ritz-Carlton Spa, a nightclub and its own ‘marina’ and accommodates 298 passengers in 149 suites with private terraces.

In accordance with longstanding maritime tradition, there was a ceremonial blessing and a bottle of champagne was broken against the bow to bring good luck throughout the yacht’s travels.
The Yacht Portfolio chief executive officer Douglas Prothero and, Marriott International global officer for Mergers and Acquisitions, Business Development and Real Estate, Timothy Grisius were joined by their children, who served as the ‘Godchildren’ of Evrima and activated the ceremonial champagne bottle smash against the yacht’s bow.

Prothero commented: “It’s an incredibly proud moment to officially Christen Evrima, the first in a series of superyachts by The Yacht Portfolio that will introduce guests to an entirely new way to travel the world.
