Shining a spotlight on the travel industry’s PR stars

The team at Connecting Travel are regularly asked to recommend the best travel and hospitality PR and marketing agencies in the Middle East. Agencies are only as good as the people who work at them, so we have decided to celebrate the industry’s PR stars in 2024 with a new monthly feature highlighting the professionals who go above and beyond for their clients. In February 2024, we honour Charlotte Emmerson, account manager of Bacchus.

Charlotte Emmerson, 33, was born in the UAE, but didn’t grow up here. After studying Spanish and public relations at a university in the UK – and a stint working as cabin crew and seeing the world – she returned to Dubai where she took on the role at Bacchus.

Bacchus was founded in the UK 25 years ago by Anouschka Menzies and Charlotte Lurot. Initially specialising in restaurants, representing some of the leading chefs of the era, Bacchus has expanded into the Consumer, Travel, Design and Property, and Beauty and Wellness sectors, with agencies in Miami, New York and the GCC offering a wealth of expertise around the globe.

“I love the dynamic and creative nature of my job, every day is different, crafting narratives that resonate with people, arranging unforgettable events and working with inspirational people. Being part of such a hard-working and collaborative team is really rewarding,” says Charlotte.
