Abu Dhabi updates Covid-19 entry regulations

Vaccinated residents arriving from green list countries no longer need to quarantine

Fully vaccinated UAE residents and citizens landing in Abu Dhabi from its green list countries no longer need to quarantine on arrival.

Instead, UAE residents arriving into the UAE capital must take a PCR test on arrival followed by another one on day six of their stay.

UAE residents entering Abu Dhabi from countries that aren’t on the green list must take a PCR test on arrival and on day six, and quarantine for seven days.

The measures were announced this week by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee and are now in effect.

The updated regulations apply to vaccinated residents who received their second dose at least 28 days before travel and their vaccination status must be displayed on the Alhosn app.

Residents who are not vaccinated must take a PCR test on arrival in Abu Dhabi, and then again on days six and 12, after returning from green list countries. When arriving from other destinations, they must take a PCR test on arrival and on day 11 after returning to Abu Dhabi and they much quarantine for 12 days.
