French flag carrier will fly to Saudi capital from 20 May 2025
Air France is launching direct flights between Paris and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia from 20 May 2025.
The service will begin with three flights a week then increase to five flights from June 2025 for the summer season.
Flights will depart Riyadh King Khalid International Airport (RUH) at 08:40 and arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle at 14:20. The return leg departs CDG at 23:20, arriving in RUH at 06:25 the following day.
"With a positive growth outlook, Saudi Arabia continues to be a key market for the Air France-KLM group,” said Stefan Gumuseli, General Manager, Air France – KLM India and the Middle East.
“This new route, along with KLM’s existing services to Riyadh and Dammam, highlights our commitment to expanding our presence in Saudi Arabia. This development will also strengthen the existing partnership between Air France and Saudia Airlines.”

The route will be operated by the 324-seat, three-cabin Airbus A350-900.
The launch means all three airlines of the Air France-KLM Group (Air France, KLM, and Transavia) will fly to Saudi.
Saudia Airlines, Saudi Arabia’s national carrier, is adding 11 new destinations in 2025, including Nice in France, and already has a daily service to Paris.
Paris is a popular destination for Saudi residents, and the country in the top 10 most-visited outbound destinations for GCC travellers, according to Mabrian data.
Saudi Arabia posted a 15% hike in air passenger numbers in 2024, reaching 128 million, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in its Air Traffic 2024 Report.
