Avani+ Fares Maldives hotel appoints new GM

Judd Rabbidge was previously Hotel Manager at W Sydney

Minor Hotels has appointed Australian Judd Rabbidge as General Manager at Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort.

Rabbidge will lead the upscale lifestyle resort in the Baa Atoll, applying his passion for delivering guest experiences and strategic acumen to drive results.

Prior to his new posting in the Maldives, Rabbidge held the position of Hotel Manager at W Sydney, overseeing the pre-opening phase of the world’s largest W Hotel, and from 2018 to 2022, he worked as the Director of Sales and Marketing at W Bali in Seminyak, establishing the resort as a sought-after destination for luxury travellers. 

Earlier in his career, Rabbidge held various senior management roles with Mantra Group, a leading Australian accommodation operator.

Rabbidge holds a bachelor’s degree in applied hospitality, tourism and business management from the Pacific International Hotel Management School in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
