The move is part of a push by Beijing to normalise two-way travel between China and the world
From yesterday (15 March 2023), China has resumed issuing visas to foreign tourists for the first time since the start of the Covid pandemic, the Chinese government announced.
Tourists visas became available from 15 March 2023 as the country reopened its borders for the for the first time in three years.
The easing of this final cross-border control measure, imposed to reduce the number of Covid-19 cases in the country, comes after its authorities last month declared victory over the virus.
