Dubai-based airlines’ partnership a “gamechanger for both carriers”
Dubai-based airlines Emirates and Flydubai flew five million passengers across their shared networks in the past year, an increase of 36% on the previous year.
The UAE airlines have worked together for more than seven years with a goal to enhance the city’s connectivity via almost 300 codeshare flights each day.
Describing the partnership as a "gamechanger for both carriers", His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group and Chairman of flydubai, said he was looking forward to the next phase of impact that both airlines will have on "enhancing Dubai's connectivity".
With networks connecting to every corner of the global, Emirates and Flydubai have served more than 22 million codeshare customers since 2017, and today fly to 240 destinations in more than 100 countries.
