Emirates Business Class launches champagne and cuisine pairing

Dubai airline partners with Moët & Chandon on new menu from May 2025

Passengers flying Business Class with Emirates can enjoy 18 new inflight dishes paired with exclusive champagne from Moët & Chandon.

Launching on selected routes from May 2025, the inflight dishes have been designed by Moët & Chandon’s head chef Jean Michel Bardet and Emirates’ Vice President of Culinary Design, Doxis Bekris.

Emirates, which purchases more champagne than any other airline worldwide, has a 33-year partnership with Moët Hennesey and recently launched a champagne and canapés pairing menu in its bespoke Moët & Chandon Champagne Lounge.

More than a year in development, the new inflight menu offers a selection of refined dishes featuring premium ingredients that can also be scaled to meet the demands of Emirates, which serves 149 meals every minute, totalling more than 77 million meals every year.

Collaborating between France and Dubai, the chefs have created dishes that take into account the impact of altitude, which changes taste profiles, and pre-preparation of the food before loading onto the aircraft.

Starters include poached scallops served with green melon, blanched kumquat, lemon gel and roasted almonds, paired with Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2016.

For mains, the new menu includes roasted duck served with braised aubergine and chickpeas with raz el hanout-spiced couscous-jus and cherry tomatoes, paired with Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial, and seared Chilean sea bass served with artichoke puree, lemongrass sauce and buttered sugar snap peas, served with Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial.

Vegan options include silken tofu, served with poached asparagus, soy emulsion with olive oil, lemon gel and cashew cream, paired with Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial.

Vegan cuisine is an important consideration for Emirates with more customers either adopting a vegan diet or choosing vegan options when flying as a lighter alternative. The airline offers more than 300 vegan recipes.

He joined Emirates in 2019 as the VP Culinary Shared Services & Concept Development where he was responsible for the direction of inflight catering.
