Etihad Airways to launch flights from Abu Dhabi to Al Alamein, Egypt

Service will be UAE's only direct flight to the Egyptian resort city

UAE carrier Etihad Airways is set to add Egypt’s coastal destination Al Alamein (DBB), to its network in July 2025.

The non-stop service will connect passengers to Egypt’s northern coast with the Mediterranean, an area within reach of the historic hub of Alexandria.

The service, which will begin on 17 July 2025, will operate on Thursday and Sunday, departing Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 09:20, arriving in Al Alamein (DBB) at 12:35. The return service will leave Al Alamein at 14:15, landing back in the UAE capital at 19:05 (local time).

The region is recognised for its stunning beaches, clear waters, and rich historical significance, and is fast becoming a favourite resort for leisure travellers.

"We are excited to be adding Al Alamein to our ever-growing list of destinations," said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways.

"Al Alamein is the entry point to Egypt’s hidden gem, offering a mix of natural beauty and cultural history, and we are sure it will become a popular choice for guests seeking relaxation and adventure.”

The flights are on sale now and will use one of the airline’s modern A320 family aircraft, with eight seats in Business and 150 in Economy.
