Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr is dubbed 'Palace by the Sea'
Developed in partnership with Modon Holding Group, the new Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr in the Moroccan capital of Rabat will officially open on 1 October 2024.
Built in the 18th century as Morocco’s Sultan Moulay Slimane's summer palace, the property was later turned into a military hospital before becoming a Four Seasons hotel.
The restored royal residence is located on the oceanfront in Morocco’s so-called ‘City of Lights’. Aptly dubbed the ‘Palace by the Sea’, it's also surrounded by gardens, and is home to 200 rooms and suites, just minutes from the historic Kasbah and the Medina.

The 12-acre oceanfront site comprises 11 buildings in total – five new and six historical – balancing authentic heritage details with chic modern design.
Most of the rooms and suites at Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr have balconies or terraces, many with ocean views. Some suites offer a rooftop terrace or plunge pool.
The pinnacle among the signature suites is the lavish Sultan’s Riad, set within the Sultan’s original residence, built in 1792, and now fully restored and expanded. Spread over two floors, this three-bedroom suite spans 1,000 square metres, including its own private terrace and infinity-style swimming pool.
The hotel will have three signature dining offerings, including Brasserie Marie for French bistro cuisine, Verdello for Mediterranean and Italian dining, and all-day restaurant Flamme.
The spa is an ocean-facing sanctuary with 10 treatment rooms, a Moroccan hammam, a full-service salon and indoor saltwater pool.
In addition, there are two outdoor pools, a 24-hour fitness centre and a ‘Kids for All Seasons’ programme for keeping the young guessts entertained.
General Manager Gregory Viuad said: “Rabat is a city whose moment has arrived. Our team cannot wait to introduce the property to our guests, and welcome local residents to a familiar landmark that has been totally transformed.”
Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr is 30 minutes from Rabat-Salé Airport and 90 minutes from Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport.
