Official Gulf countries Covid apps are now accepted as proof of vaccination status and PCR test results

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that approved GCC apps can be used to prove vaccination status and test results taken outside the UAE. These apps can also be used to access places in the UAE that require a Green Pass to enter.

In a statement delivered via Twitter, the authority stated: “Aiming to ease movement between GCC countries, we are pleased to announce that the use of Covid-19 apps approved by the ministry of health in GCC countries can be used to enter the UAE.”

Subsequent tweets explained that, although these apps could now be used to prove vaccination status and test results taken outside the country, regulations would remain in place. Visitors from GCC countries must still adhere to all entry protocols, including PCR testing.

The UAE recently announced that it would process tourist visa applications for vaccinated travellers from all countries.
