Bahrain’s flagship carrier, Gulf Air, has launched flights from London Heathrow and Manchester in the UK to Singapore, via Bahrain.

The services began on 27 October 2024 and operate on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which includes 26 lie-flat beds in the Falcon Gold business-class cabin.

Flights depart London Heathrow at 09:30 and arrive in Singapore at 12:30 the following day.

The Manchester route operates five times a week from Wednesday to Sunday, and departs at 10:25, arriving in Singapore at 12:30 the next day.

Both services include a transit through Bahrain International Airport, with the stopover lasting four hours 45 minutes for LHR flights and three hours 55 minutes for flights that originate in Manchester.

From Singapore, flights depart daily at 20:25 and land in London and Manchester at 06:35 the following morning.

Return flights start from £543 (US$705) in economy and £2,030 (US$2,633) in Falcon Gold from London Heathrow, with a slightly more expensive fare of £557 (US$723) in economy from Manchester.

Commenting on the launch, Joanna Patterson, Gulf Air's Director of Sales, said: “UK travellers now have a great value, easy option for accessing Singapore, via our Bahrain hub.

"This new daily route expands our commitment to the Southeast Asian market and is a key step in our global network expansion strategy."

Flights between London and Bahrain have been in service since the 1970s, while Manchester-Bahrain flights launched in June 2022.
