Gulf Air to launch Bahrain-Munich route

Four weekly flights will bring more German tourists to the Gulf Coast country from July 2024

Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, will launch four weekly flights from Manama, Bahrain to Munich, Germany from 1 July 2024. 

With an Airbus A321neo, Gulf Air will fly from Bahrain International Airport to Munich Airport on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The Gulf Air flight arrives in Munich at 06:35 and departs for Manama at 12:20.

Bahrain is developing its tourism offering, and hopes to attract German travellers keep to explore the destination's mix traditional and modern Arabian attractions, from souqs and mosques to five-star skyscraper hotels and beach retreats.

The country is renowned for its welcoming Arab hospitality, and unlike its neighbour Saudi Arabia, it's not dry. Alcohol is served in licensed premises and the island state offers a direct road connection from Saudi via the King Fahd Causeway, a 25km long bridge that connects the two countries, making it a popular escape for those staying in Saudi.

For those travelling onwards, the international hub offers connections to fascinating destinations, including India, Singapore, Thailand and the Maldives.
