Urban resort offers one of the capital’s largest spas

After a three-year delay, Six Senses is finally set to make its long-anticipated UK debut with the opening of Six Senses London on 1 March 2026, signalling the brand’s next step in bringing its resort-inspired philosophy into major cities, following recent openings in Rome and Kyoto.
Located in Bayswater, near Hyde Park and Notting Hill, the hotel occupies part of The Whiteley, a Grade II-listed Edwardian landmark and former department store that has been reimagined through a £1.5 billion (AED7.5 billion) redevelopment led by Foster + Partners, with interiors by AvroKO, blending heritage architecture with contemporary design.
Taking up a quarter of the mixed-use complex, which also includes luxury residences, retail and dining spaces, Six Senses London aims to create a “centre for community” rooted in wellbeing and connection. The property will feature 109 rooms and suites and introduce Six Senses Place, the brand’s first private members’ club, a wellness-focused alternative to traditional social clubs.
