InterContinental Dubai Marina introduces new dinner and show concept

The Showhouse gives agents and guests an all-singing, all-dancing reason to book this hotel

UAE hospitality company Solutions Group has launched a new dinner and show concept at InterContinental Dubai Marina hotel.

Agents booking hotels for guests who like to be entertained could consider this option, or include it in a Dubai itinerary for a high-octane night out. As a weatherproof activity, it's especially attractive in the summer months.

The Showhouse is hidden behind an unremarkable door in the hotel’s car park. Guests pass through a theatrical dressing room, designed to create the feeling of being granted a backstage pass, before entering a glamorous dining hall built around a stage.

In its inaugural season, Down the Rabbit Hole, the first instalment in a quarterly rotation of shows, features acrobatics, singing, dancing and theatrics, and invites viewers to follow ‘Alice’ into a “weird and wonderful world” while their palates are entertained with haute cuisine.

The a la carte menu features a selection of elevated dishes, including starters of burrata; prawns with olive oil and tarragon; chicken liver and foie gras parfait, and beef tartare. Mains span from wild mushroom and truffle tagliatelle to baked seabass en papillote, and filet steak with dauphinoise potatoes. The dessert selection comprises vanilla cheesecake, crème brûlée, ice creams and sorbets, and there’s a French cheese platter.

A three-course meal and your choice of two glasses of wine or two handcrafted cocktails costs AED395 (US$108) in Silver Circle seats. Gold Grand Circle seats include a glass of house champagne on arrival, stage-front seating, a three-course meal, and a choice of two glasses of wine or two cocktails for AED495 (US$135). VIP Royal Box seating includes the best seats in the house, a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne on arrival, and amuse bouche ahead of the three-course meal with two wines or cocktails for AED545 (US$149).

This month also sees the launch of InterContinental Dubai Marina’s ladies’ night deal, running every Thursday. For AED300 (US$82), female guests get one drink at the show, as well as a cocktail in neighbouring bar So Much Trouble, which is also a vintage designer handbag boutique, and two drinks and a dish at Papas.
