Paul Lonergan brings more than three decades of experience in hospitality

Kempinski Hotels has appointed Paul Lonergan as Chief Operating and Asset Management Officer to drive operational and investment strategies across its portfolio.
The newly created role supports Kempinski’s wider growth strategy, which focuses on expanding its footprint and reinforcing its position in the luxury segment.
Lonergan will oversee the group’s operations and asset management strategies for regions including the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the Americas and Asia-Pacific, managing investments and aligning owners and operators to boost guest experiences and property value.
With more than three decades of hospitality experience, Lonergan brings 20 years of senior operational leadership and 15 years in hotel asset management.
Prior to joining Kempinski, he spent two decades in the UAE, holding senior leadership roles in Real Estate and Hospitality Asset Management at Dubai Holding and Jumeirah Group.

Under Lonergan’s leadership, the group’s long-term objectives align with the continued growth of the luxury sector across the GCC markets.
In the UAE, Kempinski is expanding its portfolio with upcoming properties including Kempinski Residences, The Creek Dubai and Kempinski Marina Residences.
In Saudi Arabia, the brand is deepening its footprint after the February 2025 debut of Kempinski Hotel & Resort Sariya Yanbu, managed by recently appointed General Manager Jean-Marc Boutilly. This Yanbu property marks Kempinski’s second Saudi project, following Kempinski Al Othman Hotel Al Khobar.
