Surf park will be the world’s most advanced of its kind
Abu Dhabi’s newest tourist attraction, Surf Abu Dhabi, will open to the public from October 2024.
The facility, located on Hudayriyat Island, will be home to the world’s most advanced artificial wave technology, developed by Modon in collaboration with the Kelly Slater Wave Company.
The attraction will host the world’s longest ride, the world’s biggest barrel, together with the world’s highest man-made wave.

The park has been designed to cater to surfers of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. Furthermore, Surf Abu Dhabi’s WSL (World Surf League) certification will enable the venue to host professional surfing events.
Surf Abu Dhabi is expected to attract surfing enthusiasts from around the world and boost the UAE inbound tourist numbers.
The park is part of a broader effort to enhance Hudayriyat Island’s appeal as a premier destination for sports, leisure and hospitality in the UAE.
