More than 60 international artists will keep football fans entertained between matches
With the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 fast approaching, Qatar Airways has revealed more details about the country's plans to mark the occasion and keep visitors entertained.
Working in conjunction, the airline and tourism board have outlined events to be held during the World Cup as well as developments that will be completed by the time the World Cup begins.
Developments include beach clubs, fan zones and theme parks, while Qatar Live will host more than 60 international artists throughout the tournament, and the Daydream Music Festival will bring further more.

In addition, Qatar Airways will provide live entertainment at dedicated Passenger Overflow spaces outside Hamad International Airport and Doha International Airport. The spaces will also provide luggage storage facilities.
On board, the airline will showcase a football-inspired look with souvenir cushions, football-themed headphones and menus, and football jersey-styled loungewear, plus FIFA limited edition amenity kits. Kids' travel packs and plush toys have been created for younger fans.

Group chief executive, His Excellency Akbar Al Baker, met with FIFA president Gianni Infantino and MATAR chief operations officer, Eng Badr Al Meer at Hamad International Airport in front of a FIFA-branded Boeing 777 aircraft.
The new FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 livery can be seen in the skies for the duration of the tournament.
Commenting on the initiative, Akbar Al Baker said: “We're here to represent both Qatar Airways and FIFA and our dedication towards playing our role in hosting the first-ever FIFA World Cup in the Middle East. Hosting this tournament is a big achievement for us, and we are ready to unite fans worldwide and provide them with an exceptional experience.”
FIFA president Gianni Infantino added: “This will be the first FIFA World Cup to take place in the Middle East and the Arab World, and our partners Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport will play a key role in the delivery of this amazing event.”
