Rove Hotels help connect loved ones this Ramadan

Rove’s Ramadan campaign helps cement its positioning as a local community hotel

Rove Downtown already offers the community complimentary access to its podcast studio and equipment, which has inspired the production of several local podcasts in line with the brand’s core values. Now, it’s utilising its cinema space to bring the community together.

Rove Hotels and Webex are making it possible for Dubai residents to gather virtually with their loved ones across the world and video-chat like never before – via the Webex virtual meeting and collaboration platform in Rove Downtown’s private cinema, Reel Boutique.

Ramadan is traditionally the season for families to gather, but during the pandemic, it has become challenging to celebrate special occasions together.

Dubai residents who are interested in connecting with their loved ones via a Webex video-chat session at Reel’s cinema screen can apply for free 20-minutes sessions available from 26 to 28 April. Rovers can bring up to nine family and friends to their session and will enjoy complete privacy in the Reel Boutique, while catching up with other loved ones based around the world.

Commenting on the collaboration, Rove Hotels’ Paul Bridger said: “As a simple act of giving from our Rove family to yours, we hope to connect you with your loved ones in a very special way this blessed month. While it remains to be a hugely challenging time, we remember how fortunate we are to have the technology to stay in touch and create unforgettable moments with those who matter the most; and we continue to remain positive that one day, we will all be reunited again. We are grateful for Webex and Reel Cinemas for providing our Rovers with the resources to make this experience possible.”

Cisco Gulf region managing director Shukri Eid added: “At Cisco, we have a longstanding history of connecting people through the power of collaboration technology. During the past year, we have witnessed first-hand how important digital solutions such as Webex have been, not only in aiding business success but also in uniting friends and families via videoconferencing. Through this venture with Rove Hotels, we’re proud to be offering a truly unique experience, which is sure to bring happiness into people’s lives as they share memorable moments with their loved ones this Holy Month.”
