The low cost carrier will operate two flights per week from July
SalamAir, a low-cost airline from Oman headquartered and based at Muscat International Airport, has announced the introduction of direct flights between Muscat and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with two flights per week beginning on 3 July 2023.
Launched as a result of high passenger demand, the flights from Muscat to Kuala Lumpur will operate on Monday and Friday. Direct flight between Muscat and Kuala Lumpur have a duration of approximately seven hours.
The Kuala Lumpur route is SalamAir's first destination in Malaysia and marks the airline’s expansion into Southeast Asia.

Speaking about the launch, SalamAir CEO Mohamed Ahmed said: "The new service marks another milestone in our network expansion strategy, providing our customers with a perfect value-for-money product that allows them to be flexible, save on airfare with our competitive pricing, and add services they prefer."
The scheduling of these flights is intended to boost tourism, economic relations, business opportunities and student movements between Oman and Malaysia and serve the overall Oman 2040 vision of supporting the inbound tourism sector as one of the main contributors to the national GDP of the Sultanate of Oman.
