Saudi capital’s first W hotel to open in 2025

Marriott International to introduce brand to Riyadh’s KAFD

The W Riyadh will open next year in the Saudi capital’s King Abdullah Financial District Development (KAFD).

The hotel will mark the brand’s debut in Riyadh and will have 210 rooms and suites, seven restaurants, retail spaces and extensive event and meeting facilities.

Signature W spaces, such as the Living Room, the Wet Deck, the Away Spa and the Fit fitness centre, are planned for the property. Guests can also expect the W's Whatever/Whenever personalised service.

Chadi Hauch, Marriott International regional vice-president for lodging development, said: “In line with the strategic framework of Vision 2030, Riyadh is fast becoming a key regional metropolis attracting global leisure and business travellers alike. This monumental signing underscores the increased demand for distinctive luxury brands in the capital.”

KAFD, a 20-minute drive from King Khaled International Airport, comprises office spaces, luxury residences, hotels, retail outlets, entertainment venues and cultural attractions. Its design is billed “to transform the way urban communities live, work, learn and play”.
