Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd airport sets new passenger record

Dammam hub welcomed more than 12 million travellers in 2024

Dammam Airports Company has reported a considerable surge in air traffic at King Fahd International Airport during the second half of 2024, according to a local Saudi Arabian news service.

Statistics show that 12 million passengers used King Fahd International Airport from January to mid-December 2024, making history and marking a 15% growth compared to the same period in 2023.

Regarding the volume of flights, the airport marked a new high with more than 99,000 flights operated from January to mid-December 2024, up 5% over the same period last year.

The Dammam airport also set new daily records for passenger numbers, surpassing 50,000 passengers in a single day, a new peak for daily passenger traffic since it started operations, and on 13 June 2024, the airport achieved the highest daily air traffic volume on record with 374 flights that day.
