Six new hotels open at Dubai's Deira Waterfront

The 999-key cluster includes Novotel, ibis Styles, Mercure and Adagio brands

Six hotels have opened at the Deira Waterfront development in Dubai.

A collaboration between Accor, Valor Hospitality Partners and the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), the six-hotel cluster is part of the Deira Enrichment Program, a project focused on revitalising one of Dubai’s oldest communities.

Once complete, the development will form a maze of interconnected plazas joining retail, offices, hotels and residential properties.

The six hotels integrate three well-established Accor properties under the ibis Styles, Aparthotel Adagio and Mercure brands, along with three new properties. These will be branded as Novotel, ibis Styles and Mercure in Dubai.

The development adds 999 keys to the city’s hospitality offering, and provides a diversified portfolio for different travellers.

While the Adagio is suited to longer-stay guests, the Mercure delivers locally inspired experiences, the ibis Styles provide design-driven affordability and the Novotel is positioned for bleisure guests.

“By integrating these properties under the Accor umbrella, we are reinforcing our alignment with the UAE’s vision to enhance tourism and hospitality infrastructure in key districts,” said Paul Stevens, Accor’s Chief Operating Officer, Premium, Midscale & Economy brands for Middle East and Africa.

Stevens says the expansion also reflects the “increasing demand for quality midscale and economy accommodations in Dubai, catering to a diverse range of travellers”.

Dubai’s existing hotel supply leans towards the five-star luxury sector, with nearly 70% of all new hotel rooms in 2025 falling into the Luxury and Upper Upscale segments, according to data from Cavendish Maxwell.

Dubai’s hotel inventory is expected to grow by 3.1% in 2025, with a further 3.4% growth predicted for 2026.

Accor’s portfolio in the Middle East now spans more than 290 properties across all its brands, with plans to open 130 new locations by 2028.
