87% of those surveyed plan to travel over the holiday
Skyscanner has partnered with OnePoll to survey UAE travellers on their plans for the Eid Al Adha holiday.
Eid is predicted to begin at sunset on Wednesday 28 June and many UAE residents will be granted a six-day holiday. As a result, the flight comparison site says more than half of searches by UAE residents are for trips lasting a week or less, with 42% of respondents saying they would prefer shorter flight times.

Commenting on the findings, Skyscanner travel expert Ayoub El Mamoun said: “In our latest poll, 65% of UAE travellers shared that price is a very important factor in determining whether they would go on holiday during Eid Al Adha.
“The good news is that even during busy periods like Eid or summer, which would normally be more expensive times to travel, prices are not rising on all routes, nor at the same rate, which means there are still competitive deals for travellers who remain flexible, are open to discovering new destinations and, most importantly, know how to shop around and compare fares using sites like Skyscanner.
“As we approach Eid Al Adha, most travellers from the UAE are planning to travel with family (74%) and groups of friends (19%) during the public holiday, while the three most popular types of trip this Eid are visiting family and friends abroad, outdoor adventure, and relaxing beach getaways.”
