Ennismore has announced the opening of SO/ Maldives, a vibrant private-island resort "rooted in fashion, art and design".

SO/ Maldives comprises 80 beachfront and overwater villas with one to three bedrooms and eight categories. The villas boast private pools and decks with ocean views, Maison Codage toiletries and individualised concierge services.

Options include the 120-square-metre Lagoon Water Pool Villa Collection, the 410-square-metre Three-Bedroom Ocean Water Pool Atelier, and the 238-square-metre Family Beach Pool Villa with Capsule, which has an adjoining 'sleep pod' for younger travellers.

Beach Villa

SO/ Maldives restaurant and bar experiences include The Citronelle Club, an all-day dining destination with Pan-Asian flavours, and French Riviera-inspired Lazuli Beach Club, a sophisticated day-to-night beach bar. Located in the hotel’s arrival pavilion, Hadaba celebrates the atmosphere of Arabian nights with slow-cooked Levantine dishes and smoked delicacies.

The property’s Wellness Camp is an East-meets-West concept. The facilities include steam and sauna rooms, a Vichy Rainforest Shower, and a revitalising vitality pool. The state-of-the-art gym showcases the latest Technogym and Alo equipment. In addition, guests can participate in complimentary yoga, meditation and sound healing classes, as well as personalised training sessions.

The mix of paid and complimentary water-based adventures include kayaking, parasailing, snorkelling, jet skiing and stand-up paddleboarding. Offsite excursions are also available.

Beach Pool Villa

Younger guests can enjoy a selection of activities and areas customised for them, including The Zone Teens' Club for ages 12 to 16 and The Nest Kids' Club for ages 4 to 11, which are both stocked with toys and games. Family-focused programming includes beach volleyball, bocce ball and soccer. Babysitting for children under four years of age is available at an extra cost.
