Tech exhibitors up 25% at ATM 2025

US$10.7 billion travel tech market will be focus of global gathering in Dubai

Travel technology exhibitors at the upcoming Arabian Travel Market (ATM) are up 25%, reflecting the significance of the US$10.7 billion opportunity.

With the 2025 edition of ATM at Dubai World Trade Centre held under the theme ‘Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity’, the show will explore how tech is transforming the industry.

“Now more than ever, opportunities related to connectivity and integration are at the forefront of our minds, and they will take centre stage at ATM 2025,” said Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market.

This surge in tech exhibitor numbers follows the market’s 2024 sold-out travel tech space, which was 56% bigger than the year before. Exhibitors at ATM 2025 include Amadeus, Wego, Huawei, Sabre, Expedia, Travelport, Dida Travel, Hotelbeds, WebBeds and Moonline Travel.

This year, the Future Stage will host an array of speakers covering  topics as diverse as machine learning (ML), blockchain and augmented reality, as well as artificial intelligence (AI) .

Session highlights include ‘Generational Trends Influencing Hyper-personalisation in Luxury’, ‘Travel Technology: Get Ahead or Get Left Behind’ and ‘AI: Everywhere All At Once’.

While it’s impossible to accurately predict the potential of travel tech, IMARC Group expects the market to reach US$18.6 billion by 2033.

More firms are leveraging cutting-edge technologies to deliver seamless traveller experiences, from personalised booking processes to enhanced on-site services, with AI and ML increasingly managing travel bookings. The integration of VR for destination previews, IoT for improved operational efficiency, and blockchain for streamlined transactions are set to redefine future industry standards.

While the Middle East’s travel tech market faces stiff competition from Asia-Pacific, the UAE and Saudi are leveraging the latest innovations to enhance their appeal as global travel destinations.

Curtis added: “I can’t think of a better host city for ATM Travel Tech than Dubai. Smart travel, transport, AI and urban planning initiatives are driving increased innovation and connectivity across the emirate, making it the ideal meeting point for leaders and disruptors from other markets.”

Business travel is set to increase in 2025, with 42% of corporates forecasted to spend more than in 2024, according to Flight Centre Corporate.

Taking place from 28 April to 1 May 2025, the 32nd edition of ATM will expand to 13 halls, up from 12, growing across all sectors.

First opening its doors at the Dubai World Trade Centre in 1994, with 52 nations, 300 exhibitors and 7,000 trade visitors, ATM 2024 welcomed 47,000 attendees, including more than 35,000 visitors 2,550 exhibitors and representatives from over 161 countries.
