The initiative was suspended due to the spread of the Omicron Covid-19 variant
Thailand has announced that it will resume its Test & Go programme for fully-vaccinated international travellers from 1 February 2022.
Under the Test & Go programme, travellers must book and prepay to stay in an approved SHA hotel, prepay for two PCR tests to take on day one and day five of their trip and prearrange a transfer from the airport to their hotel.
Travellers are required to be tested on arrival and five days later while their whereabouts are tracked for contact tracing. Travellers must stay in their room on day one and day five of their trip until they receive their test results.

The Test & Go initiative was launched to revive Thailand’s travel industry, which was beginning to show signs of recovery thanks to programmes like the Sandbox scheme where fully vaccinated tourists can agree to stay in one location for a week before they can travel to other parts of the country. It was previously launched for tourist hotspots, Phuket and Koh Samui, now joined by Pattaya and Koh Chang.
