One of only 13 properties awarded the highest rating in Dubai

The Residence at Dubai’s One&Only Royal Mirage has been awarded a Five-Star rating by Forbes Travel Guide 2025.

This makes it one of only 17 hotels in the UAE to secure that rating in 2025, with 13 in Dubai and four in Abu Dhabi.

Inspectors highlighted the resort’s "lavish" two-bedroom beach garden villas, which provide "unparalleled comfort" with large living and dining areas, an Arabesque majlis-style lounge, oversized bathtubs, a private pool and al fresco dining table set in a lush private garden.

They also mentioned The Dining Room and Library Lounge “designed like a sophisticated country house with views over the resort's landscaped lawns” serving afternoon tea.

The only global rating system for luxury hospitality, Forbes Travel Guide’s evaluation process assesses the finest hotels worldwide based on exceptional service and amenities, with the coveted Five-Star rating reserved for properties that deliver flawless service and unforgettable guest experiences.

The Residence offers an adult-only sanctuary designed for discerning travellers seeking exclusivity and bespoke hospitality.

Located close to Dubai Marina, The One&Only Royal Mirage is an adult-only sanctuary set in 65 acres of lush gardens, and has a 1km stretch of private beach. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities, from water sports to Michelin-starred dining experiences.

All rooms and suites at The Residence have been refreshed to blend contemporary touches with Arabian heritage, and feature "intricately carved wooden furniture and archways, traditional mosaics, brass accents, plush and embroidered fabrics... and art and artifacts with a strong sense of place", Forbes' inspectors said.

All feature private balconies with views over the lush gardens and Arabian Sea, and every beach garden villa and beach villa comes with a dedicated host.

Among standout services, the inspectors highlighted the One&Only Spa's 60-minute Golden Hammam treatment, which includes a deep cleanse in the steam room, exfoliation and facial with a gold honey masque.

To create the star ratings, Forbes Travel Guide’s undercover inspectors pose as regular guests and then test hundreds of service aspects which account for 70% of a rating, with the remaining 30% made up by the quality of facilities. Inspectors stay a minimum of two nights and cover their own expenses. They evaluate properties based on 900 objective standards.
