Saudi Arabia's private island retreat will be the first to operate in the destination
Located on Ummahat Island in the Al Wajh Lagoon, The St. Regis Red Sea Resort will open to guests in January 2024.
The St. Regis Red Sea Resort will comprise 90 spacious beachfront and overwater villas, offering one-to-four-bedrooms, each with a private pool and a sundeck.
The resort will feature five restaurants serving produce sourced from local farms and fishermen, two outdoor pools, a fitness centre, signature spa and kid's club.
Guests seeking adventure can explore the world's fourth-largest barrier reef, discovering the abundant wildlife, marine ecosystems and natural marvels of The Red Sea. They will be able to snorkel amongst preserved coral reefs, obtain PADI certifications, and embark on guided scuba diving expeditions with the destination's diving brand, Galaxea. Discovery sites include the Blue Hole, a large natural marine cavern adjacent to the resort.

Other sports offered by the destination's activity brand, WAMA, include stand-up paddle boarding, sailing, windsurfing and kayaking designed for guests of all experience levels.
The island resort will be powered by renewable energy generated by solar power and the resort's interiors have been developed in accordance with LEED platinum certification guidelines.
