New boss at Dubai-based hospitality brand to drive global growth
Jumeirah, the Dubai-based hospitality brand behind iconic properties such as Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, has named Thomas B Meier as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Meier is tasked with overseeing the next stage of growth as Jumeirah aims to double its portfolio from 30 to 60 properties by 2030.
He has served as Chief Operating Officer since October 2021 and as interim CEO. In 2024, Meier oversaw Jumeirah’s entry into Africa as well as other upcoming launches closer to home.

In addition to two new hotel openings in Africa, Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania and Jumeirah Thanda Safari in South Africa, there are plans to launch Jumeirah Red Sea in Saudi Arabia and Jumeirah Le Richemond Geneva in Switzerland.
