Egypt, India, Turkey and the UK among top 10 in 2024
Travel booking platform Wego has revealed the summer's hot spots that Kuwaiti travellers sought out this season.
According to Wego’s data, Kuwaiti globetrotters were most interested in summer flights to Egypt, India, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Philippines, the UAE, Pakistan and the UK.
Sizeable expat communities in Kuwait planning homecoming trips in part accounts for some countries’ top positions in the list.
Wego experts suggest that logistical convenience also contributes to the persistent popularity of the other destinations, such as Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which are all close by and easy to access for Kuwaitis.

Meanwhile, Thailand and the UK are favourite holiday destinations that allow Kuwaiti citizens to enter their countries without visa.
The line-up of countries remains largely unchanged compared to last year, highlighting the steady travel preferences of Kuwaiti travellers.
Seven out of the 10 countries preferred by Kuwaitis saw a year-on-year spike in searches on the Wego travel platform. Notably, searches for flights to India were up 73% compared to summer last year.
The increase in travel appetite may also be attributed to cheaper summer airfares from Kuwait this year. Kuwaiti travellers planning to travel to those countries can expect airfare savings up to 61.16% compared to last year. Only flights to India and Egypt saw a small price increase of 0.56% and 2.05%, respectively.
