AED2 billion Therme Dubai will be located in Zabeel Park
Dubai will open the world’s tallest wellbeing resort by 2028. The AED2 billion project, announced by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, will be located at Zabeel Park.
Rising to 100 metres and spanning an area of 500,000 square feet, Therme Dubai will feature an interactive park alongside the world’s largest indoor botanical garden, designed to host 1.7 million visitors annually.
Embracing the Therme concept developed in Europe more than 20 years ago, Therme Dubai will feature three areas focused on restoration, relaxation and play and include mineral pools and a thermal complex. Guests will enjoy multi-sensory saunas, mineral pools, wave pools, water slides and spa treatments inspired by ancient bathing traditions such as Roman and Turkish baths, Japanese hot springs, Turkish hammams and Nordic saunas.
A global wellbeing pioneer, Thermal Group combines the traditions of global thermal bathing with an indoor tropical ecosystem to create inclusive and sustainable wellbeing resorts.

Therme Bucharest opened in 2016 as the world's first LEED Platinum wellbeing resort for sustainability and soon became Romania’s most popular attraction. Therme Group also has active projects in Germany, the US, UK, Canada, Scotland and South Korea.
Other key attractions include a Michelin-starred restaurant, three 18-metre waterfalls and a garden with more than 200 plant species.
Therme Dubai will add to the city’s already super-sized skyline, home to the world’s tallest skyscraper, Burj Khalifa, and hotel – Gevora – which will soon be surpassed by the 1,000-key Ciel, a Vignette Collection hotel soaring 365 metres, which is due to open in 2025.
“This innovative project reflects our commitment to enhancing urban biodiversity and environmental sustainability, and creating enriching experiences for Dubai's residents and visitors,” the Crown Prince said in a post on X.
This move marks the next step in the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 unveiled by the Crown Prince in 2024.
With the aim to establish Dubai as the world’s best place to live and visit, this ambitious roadmap has earmarked 200 projects that prioritise wellbeing.
The initiative will also see the transformation of Dubai into a pedestrian-friendly city by 2040, with an integrated network of modern walkways and expanded green spaces, as well as the development of more than 200 parks, cycling tracks and extension of the emirate’s night swimming beaches by 60%. A beach designed exclusively for women is also on the cards.
