DusitD2 property will be located at Al Ahsa Oasis
Thai hospitality group Dusit International is set to expand its Saudi Arabian footprint with the launch of DusitD2 Al Ahsa, a new resort scheduled to open in 2027.
Located in Al Ahsa Oasis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the property will bring heritage-inspired luxury to the region.
Developed in partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Al Ghadeer Group, the resort will be just 30 minutes from Al Ahsa International Airport and will feature 120 suites, each with a private terrace and plunge pool.
Conceived by Cairo-based El Ghoenimi Architects, the design draws inspiration from the area’s natural landscapes and will place guests within easy reach of local attractions, including Al Qarah Mountain and the historic Qaisariah Souq.

“This important signing reflects our commitment to delivering Dusit’s signature Thai-inspired hospitality in key destinations worldwide,” said Dusit International’s Chief Operating Officer Gilles Cretallaz. “We’re proud to work with Al Ghadeer Group to create a destination that celebrates Al Ahsa’s heritage while offering contemporary comfort and sustainability.”
The new property will be the group’s second confirmed hotel in Saudi Arabia, following the soon-to-open Dusit Princess Al Majma’ah in Riyadh. Dusit International operates nine properties across the Middle East in key markets such as the UAE and Doha.
