Dubai-based carrier will also add extra flights on Copenhagen, Phuket and Cape Town routes
Emirates is expanding the rollout of its popular Premium Economy cabin to 10 new cities across its global network, while boosting flight frequencies on several high-demand routes.
By July 1 2026, the new cabin class will be available on more than 84 routes across Emirates’ retrofitted Boeing 777, A380 and next-gen A350 aircraft, offering passengers wider seats, extra legroom and an elevated dining experience aimed at bridging the gap between Economy and Business Class.
The phased rollout begins from 29 January, with Premium Economy debuting on select services to Cochin, in Kerala, India, and Basra in southern Iraq, followed by Spanish city Barcelona, Mexico City and Kuwait City from 1 February.
The next phase starts on 1 March, adding Premium Economy on flights to Karachi in Pakistan and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital, while Rome in Italy, Brisbane in Australia and Tehran, the capital of Iran, will transition to upgraded aircraft from 29 March. Taiwan’s capital Taipei will also join the network from 1 May, initially served by retrofitted Boeing 777 planes before the route is upgraded to the A350 aircraft later in the year.
Emirates will also deploy its latest A350 models on services to Copenhagen, Phuket and Cape Town, supported by additional daily flights on each route to meet peak summer travel demand.

From 1 June, a new daily service will operate between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Copenhagen Airport (CPH), departing at 14:50 and arriving at 19:45. The return service leaves at 21:35, landing in Dubai at 05:55 the following day.
From 1 July, additional daily flights to Cape Town and Phuket will commence. The outbound service to Cape Town International Airport (CPT) departs DXB at 10:25, arriving at 18:05, with the return flight leaving at 20:00 and arriving in Dubai at 07:25 the next morning.
Meanwhile, the service to Phuket International Airport (HKT) will depart DXB at 22:40, arriving at 08:10 the following morning. Inbound flights leave Phuket at 10:00, reaching Dubai at 13:05.
As demand for these cities continues to grow, Emirates’ additional flights enhance connectivity via Dubai, offering onward connections to other key hubs such as London, Brussels, Mumbai and Australasia.
In line with enhancing the on-board experience for passengers, Emirates is also rolling out free Starlink WiFi services across its entire fleet by 2027. The deployment began in December 2025, following the airline’s announcement at the Dubai Airshow earlier last year.
