Property recognised at the 2026 Scottish Hotel Awards
Dubai-based hospitality group JA Hotels & Resorts has won the Golf Hotel of the Year award for its Scottish property, JA Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort.
The accolade was revealed at the 2026 Scottish Hotel Awards. The annual awards combine public voting with judging by a panel of hospitality experts.
Chris McQueen, Director of Golf at JA Mar Hall, said: “The past year has marked an exciting new chapter for JA Mar Hall following significant investment and refurbishment, and this accolade reinforces our position as one of Scotland’s leading luxury golf destinations.”

To mark the win, the resort has launched a limited-time Championship Stay and Play offer that includes an overnight stay for two guests, dining and a round of golf.
Set within a 240-acre historic estate near Glasgow International Airport (GLA), JA Mar Hall features an 18-hole championship golf course overlooking the River Clyde and Old Kilpatrick Hills.
Acquired by JA Hotels in 2025, the property underwent a £20 million (US$25 million) refurbishment, including upgrades to its clubhouse and guest areas.
Elsewhere in Scotland, the group operates JA The Bruntsfield in Edinburgh. The 72-key boutique hotel also underwent a £1 million (US$1.25 million) refurbishment in 2022. In the UAE, the group has six properties, alongside a resort in the Maldives.
