Salt Bae opens 28th restaurant in Riyadh

Turkish chef and restaurateur, Nusret Gökçe, has opened his 28th restaurant in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

Better known as Salt Bae, a moniker bestowed on him after a video of him flamboyantly sprinkling salt on steak went viral, he took to his Instagram page to announce the opening of the latest Nusr-Et steakhouse at Riyadh's U-Walk complex.

The chef shared several shots and videos of the restaurant as well as a video of himself preparing a cut of meat with the caption: "Getting ready for tomorrow I'm so excited my 28th baby is coming into the world."

With venues dotted across the globe, this marks Gökçe's 28th restaurant. Recently the high-end chain has received some online attention as a result of its high prices and gold-adorned dishes.
