Ships to be 'largest ever for the line' with first due in 2030
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has confirmed an order for four new ships.
The shipbuilder Fincantieri announced the letter of intent signed by the line on April 8, 2024, has been converted into a firm order for construction.
Subject to financing and other customary conditions, the order represents a contract valued at over €2 billion.
The new vessels will have a gross tonnage of 266,000 tons, the largest ever built for the line.
The ships will have more than 5,100 berths to accommodate more than 8,300 people, including crew.

The first will be delivered in 2030, with the others to follow in 2032, 2034 and 2036.
Fincantieri has previously delivered two ships for NCL, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva.
It will also deliver Norwegian Aqua, the first of the Prima Plus class, which is set for delivery in the coming months.
