The Middle East company’s celebrity video promotes Mediterranean expansion
Aroya Cruises, the cruise line operated by Cruise Saudi, has launched a promotional campaign fronted by celebrity couple Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez to celebrate its expansion to the Mediterranean market this summer.
The video campaign went live across the couple’s Instagram accounts, tapping into their combined 720 million followers, with Ronaldo having the most followers on the platform.
Ronaldo shows his football skills in the video while the couple transform their home into a cruise ship before ending on Aroya’s tagline “Yalla”, meaning “Let’s go” in Arabic.
“Georgina and I are happy to feature in this campaign together and can’t wait to take our family on a cruise. Aroya Cruises is intrinsically Arabian, from its design to its cuisine,” said the football legend who has become an icon in Saudi since joining Al Nassr FC.
This is the first time the celebrity couple has worked on a joint promotional project, with Georgina saying “we had so much fun. Aroya’s focus on family offerings makes it an ideal choice for parents and kids alike.”

Launched in December 2024, Aroya Cruises has 1,678 luxury cabins, two swimming pools, 29 dining venues, a theatre, beauty salon and spa. It currently offers 3- to 7-night cruises across the Red Sea, with stops in Egypt, Jordan and its own private island, Jabal AlSabaya which comes with a beach club.
From June to September 2025, the ship will homeport in Istanbul, offering 6- and 7-night itineraries to Turkey and Greece. The ship will visit ports including Istanbul, Bodrum, Mykonos, Athens, Marmaris, Souda Bay and Rhodes.
